The 2026 Crypto Casino Licensing Report
We re-checked every casino in our index against its own live terms on September 24, 2026. Curaçao no longer licenses the majority of crypto casinos, a growing share of operators run on light-touch or no licences, and published terms and figures change far faster than most review sites update.
Key findings
- Only 10 of the 21 crypto casinos we track (48%) hold a Curaçao licence today — no longer a majority.
- 7 casinos in our index have moved off Curaçao; 5 of them now hold an Anjouan licence.
- 3 operate without a gaming licence we could confirm, and for 1 more the operator's own terms name none.
- In the 70 days between our checks, 13 of 19 casinos we could reach changed at least one published fact — 8 of them materially (licensing, KYC, withdrawal limits, bonus wagering or restricted countries).
- We also found 4 errors or gaps in our own July records. We list them below rather than quietly fixing them.

The move away from Curaçao
7 of the 21 casinos we track were previously associated with a Curaçao licence and now operate elsewhere — 5 of them in Anjouan. The shift coincides with Curaçao's licensing reform, which replaced the old master-licence and sublicence system with direct licences from the Curaçao Gaming Authority. Operators rarely explain these moves, so we record what changed, not why. Dates appear only where the operator's own documents give one.

70 days of changing terms
Between July 16, 2026 and September 24, 2026, 13 of the 19 casinos we could reach changed at least one published fact, and 8 changed something material: licensing or ownership, KYC rules, withdrawal limits, bonus wagering, or which countries they accept. 2 had not changed at all, and one could not be checked because its site was offline.
The same pass found 4 errors or gaps in our own July records — cases where the operator's text predated our check and we had it wrong or incomplete. They are listed below alongside everything else, because a dataset you're asked to trust should show its corrections.

Across the 21 casinos: 4 run no routine identity checks, 13 verify once a threshold is reached (often unpublished), and 4 require full verification before a withdrawal. On VPNs, 10 explicitly prohibit them — usually with confiscation of winnings as the stated penalty — 8 say nothing clear, and 3 tolerate them.
